I expected very little from this film due to the fact I dislike black and white and poor graphics but was surprisingly pleased with what I watched and would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys thrillers or horrors especially if they wanted to see the birthplace of the 'slasher' film. One of the many ways this is possible is through Bernard Herrmann's classic soundtrack that fit perfectly to the film. With little special effects available during this period, Hitchcock still manages to keep the suspense throughout and keeps the audience on the edge of their seat.
